What is an autogyro and how does it work?

This is an autogyro
An autogyro is a type of aircraft that combines features of a helicopter and a conventional aircraft. Unlike helicopters, which depend on the movement of the blades to generate lift, an autogyro uses air movement to maintain air. This means you can take off and land very slowly and feel much more stable in the air than a helicopter.
So an autogyro works
You know what an autogyro is, but how does it work? The operation of an autogyro is based on a main motor that rotates continuously thanks to the air current that enters it. This engine provides most of the weight needed to keep the autogyro in the air. The autogyro engine is mainly used to maintain the engine’s rotational speed and provide the thrust needed for takeoff and landing.
Once the autogyro is in the air, the pilot can control the direction and speed of flight using conventional control levers, as in an airplane. However, unlike an aircraft, an autogyro cannot slow down and descend without falling , as the engine is always spinning. Instead, the pilot must gradually reduce the engine speed to descend gently.
Is it difficult to fly in autogyro?
Flying in autogyro, also known as autogyro or gyro, may seem intimidating at first, but many people find it an exciting and rewarding experience once they learn the basics and become familiar with the handling of this aircraft.
Although they share some similarities with helicopters, autogyros have significant differences in their design and operation. Although the main rotor of an autogyro is not powered by an engine, it still requires some knowledge and skills to handle it properly. Pilots must learn to control rotor speed and understand how it affects flight.
